Malta’s groundbreaking cannabis harm reduction association initiative has finally kicked off. Following years of delays and challenges, the first two clubs are now operational, marking a significant milestone under the leadership of current ARUC chief Leonid McKay.
However, navigating this new system and becoming a club member may still seem daunting to many. Here are three simple steps to transition from the black market to the regulated one:
Step 1: Visit ARUC’s Website
Access the website through this link for a comprehensive overview of available clubs, licensing information, and resources to familiarize yourself with the system’s intricacies.
Step 2: Navigate to the “Associations” Section
Click on the “Associations” tab located at the top of the website.
Step 3: Choose Your Preferred Club
Scroll down to find a list of cannabis associations along with their contact details. Currently, only two clubs, Ta Zelli and KDD Society, are operational, with KDD Society already reaching its maximum membership capacity within days of opening. However, there are at least six associations approved for opening at the moment, with more expected in the coming weeks and months.
Final Step!
Once you’ve selected your desired club, reach out to them via phone or email. They will provide guidance on the membership registration process and inform you about their specific rules and regulations.
It’s important to note that clubs reserve the right to deny membership based on certain criteria, so ensure you conduct yourself appropriately throughout the application process.
